About

Formerly working in structural steel, this stay-at-home mom of two, has found a new outlet and passion. Welding and creating are two things I love. I might be a tired mom, but I am a tired mom with a dream! I take pride in all my work and am sure to produce quality welds on every piece. What I love about working with metal is that these pieces will last for a really long time with little care. We are located in Wedowee, Alabama where we have decided to raise our little family. My name is Tanya and we have 2 kiddos, 3 dogs, a cat, and a few chickens. Aside from my family, I have two passions in life- horses and welding. I lost my heart horse two years ago, but I am hoping to shove myself back into the horse world in the future.

I went to Gwinnett Technical College in GA from 2017-2019 where I learned the skill of welding from a great group of teachers and fellow students. My first welding job involved welding lathes and quite a bit of tig welding on stainless and other weird metals. Then, I turned my attention to structural welding in a shop where I learned so much and really furthered my knowledge. After awhile, we decided to have children and thus ended my journey welding on beams, stairs, and skid steers.

While most of what will be available for purchase is wall art, I can make pieces by request. My interests are rather eclectic, so given time, I am sure you will find a wide array of different pieces. This will most likely include practical things as well, including shelves and small tables.

I wanted to add the reason behind the name "Junco". Every year as it gets cold, a large flock of tiny birds called Dark Eyed Juncos come to live in our Eastern Cedar tree and make us so happy by eating off the ground in groups of 20 or more. They are really neat little birds!

Services

Offering a wide range of metalworking services, I am sure we have something for everyone! Fabricating things as small as a horseshoe earring holder or as big as a firewood rack (or something bigger), I am up for the task.

Horseshoe Art

If you have horseshoes that you would like transformed into something else just for fun or as a memory piece, I will handle it with care. I do have some shoes left over from previous projects of mine if horseshoe art is more your style!

Sheet Metal Art

Each piece of art is cut, ground down, hammered, welded, ground again, heat treated, painted or colored with heat, and clear coated for protection. Whether it's something I have already made or a custom piece you request, I create each piece with pride and precision. These pieces are built to last and look great!
